Swimming!

We signed Kale & Logan up for swimming lessons despite the fact that they did not want to go.
They are scared to death of the water. Whenever we go boating they will not get into the water if they can't touch bottom and swimming pools .....no fun! So we decided it was time to put an end to the drama. They have been in lessons for almost a month now. Logan is doing much better now. he will go underwater without hesitation! Kale is absolutely loving it! He would go everyday if I'd let him. He told me that I better sign him up for next month or I would be "The worst mom Ever!" It's amazing how young they pick up those phrases.

Update....

Ryker had surgery on Saturday to move his chest tube and add a second tube since his lung wasn't getting any better. We saw him Last night and he looked sooooo much better. He is starting to make some progress. He will have a long road to recovery but hes getting there a little bit at a time. I'm not sure he has learned anything from this though. He was telling us last night that he couldn't wait to get out of the hospital so he can go hunting :)

Lifes trials....

We have had quite a week. On Wednesday my cousin Ryker accidentally shot himself in the chest with his .22 while hunting & lived through it. It was a definate boys will be boys moment. ( I don't recomend spinning a loaded gun around your finger ). The bullet ended up being 2 cm from the heart . He got very very lucky. He is stable & is in the ICU. He still has 2 chest tubes and is in alot of pain. We are praying that things will work out & he will make it through this. While my Aunt & Uncle have been at the hospital my grandma & I have been watching my 3 other cousins. Two of which are the same ages as Kale & Logan, so its like having 2 sets of twins. Its been crazy but fun to be able to spend so much time with them. We decided that today we needed to get out of the house for a while so we went up City Creek for a hike & to let the kids run and play. It was a nice break.

Yellowstone

We headed to Yellowstone for one last weekend of summer fun before school started. We went with my sister and Grandparents. Unfortunately Quinton couldn't go with us. The last time we went to Yellowstone Kale was a baby , so that was about 6-7 years ago. Both boys were very excited to go. They had heard alot about it . I tried to tell them that it would be alot of driving. We made it to about Rigby before we stared to hear " Are we there yet?". Once we got there it changed to "Can we go back to the car yet?" They ended up having alot of fun and can't wait to go again!

The whole gang.....minus me!

Girls Camp!

Last week I left behind my boys ...all three of them...and headed to girls camp for the 4th year in a row. Our stake took us up to West Piney Lodge. When we arrived we went in to find our sleeping quarters.....just to find out that we shared a room with 3 other wards...that ended up being upwards of about 70 or so people! We ended up making the best of our situation and had a great time.

Soaking our poor feet after our hikes....

Believe it or not , our girls don't mind hanging out with their leaders....

This was the slide.....it ended up being quite dangerous if you didn't go down it just right....Our Stake President found out the hard way...it was a good thing we had a first aid station there!

We all had a great time hanging out and goofing around...

And what would camp be without a little porta-potty tipping!?!
